It’s a good idea to use a chimney starter

Top it up with charcoal, use less if you don’t need too much. We always use old newspaper to start the burning - it’s cheaper than the lighter cubes you can buy.

Just open the cooking grate and pour the glowing charcoal into the char baskets. It’s time for grilling with direct or indirect heat.
